Ingredients
- 1 lbs pasta cooked and cooled
- 12 oz sharp cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 35 oz can tomatoes with juice- chopped
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 green pepper chopped
- 1/4 lb butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- Salt and pepper
Method
- Saute onions and pepper in butter (reserve a bit) until soft. Set aside and cool.
- Combine all but the bread crumbs and reserved butter and mix well.
- Add to buttered casserole dish.
- Spread bread crumbs on top and dot with remaining butter.
- Bake covered for 50 minutes at 325 degrees. Remove top and cook until cooked through about 10 - 15 minutes additional.
