Ingredients

  • 1 lbs pasta cooked and cooled
  • 12 oz sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 35 oz can tomatoes with juice- chopped
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • Salt and pepper

Method

  • Saute onions and pepper in butter (reserve a bit) until soft. Set aside and cool.
  • Combine all but the bread crumbs and reserved butter and mix well.
  • Add to buttered casserole dish.
  • Spread bread crumbs on top and dot with remaining butter.
  • Bake covered for 50 minutes at 325 degrees. Remove top and cook until cooked through about 10 - 15 minutes additional.
