Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. raw peanuts
- 1 tsp. butter or oleo
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Cook sugar, syrup and water to soft ball stage (234° to 245°). Add peanuts.
- Continue
- cooking
- to
- hard crack stage (300° to 310°).
- Remove from heat.
- Add vanilla and soda.
- Mix well.
- Pour onto greased
- baking
- sheet
- spreading
- as thin as possible. Using greased
- rubber gloves to protect hands, pull and stretch until very thin.
- Break into pieces.
