Ingredients
- 1 1/4C white sugar
- 1C heavy cream or evaporated milk
- 5 squares Bakers Unsweetened Chocolate
- 1/2C butter
- 1t vanilla
Method
- 1. Combine sugar and milk in heavy saucepan and bring to a boil while stirring constantly
- 2. reduce heat, simmering for 6 minutes without stirring
- 3. remove pan from heat
- 4. add chocolate and stir to blend
- 5. stir in butter and vanilla and stir to blend
- 6. chill until mixture begins to thicken.
- 7. use stand mixer to beat until thick and creamy
