Ingredients
- 3 lb. frying chicken, cut up
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 small can mushrooms
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. dry red wine
Method
- Combine flour, salt and pepper.
- Use it to flour chicken. Melt butter in a large pan.
- Brown the chicken well, then add the wine (enough to cover the chicken).
- Cover and let simmer for about 50 minutes.
- Drain mushrooms and add to chicken a few minutes before serving.
- Serve with baked potatoes, tossed salad, hot French bread and wine.
