Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 c. tomato juice
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 c. uncooked macaroni
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef, uncooked
  • 1 c. grated cheese

Method

  • Melt margarine in saucepan over low heat.
  • Add macaroni and stir to coat
  • thoroughly
  • with
  • butter.
  • Add 2 cups tomato juice and bring to a
  • rapid
  • boil.
  • Stir in ground beef.
  • Add salt, pepper and sugar.
  • Cover
  • and reduce heat and cook 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Remove cover and stir.
  • Sprinkle cheese over top. Remove from heat, cover
  • so
  • cheese
  • will melt.
  • tossed or fruit salad will complete the meal.
