Ingredients

  • 1 deep dish pie shell
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 2/3 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Dash pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese (divide in half)

Method

  • Bake pie shell at 400 degrees for 3 min.
  • Remove from oven and prick with a fork.
  • Bake 5 min longer.
  • Let cold on a rack.
  • Cook sausage till brown; then drain it.
  • Combine Large eggs, lowfat milk and seasonings in a mixing bowl; beat lightly.
  • Stir in sausage.
  • Sprinkle 3/4 c. of cheese over pastry shell.
  • Top with sausage mix.
  • Sprinkle with remaining 3/4 c. cheese.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 50 min or possibly till set.
