Ingredients
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt (if desired)
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1/2 c. cold milk
- 1/2 c. chunky or smooth peanut butter
- 2 c. quick oats
Method
- Melt margarine in heavy 1 1/2-quart saucepan.
- Stir in sugar, salt, cocoa and milk.
- Bring to a boil and boil exactly 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, then oats.
- Mix thoroughly and drop onto wax paper.
- Cool, then chill.
- Store airtight.
- If candy cookies stick to paper, peel them off gently. Yields about 56.
