Ingredients

  • 1 Squid
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 to 3 teaspoons Garlic (finely chopped)
  • 2 tsp Olive oil
  • 2 tsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 Basil or parsley (optional, as a garnish)

Method

  • Divide the body and the tentacles of the squid.
  • Take out the gut and bone.
  • Cut the pointy tips off the legs.
  • Drain well, and cut the body into 5-6 mm slices.
  • Dice the tomato to 1 cm, skin and all.
  • Finely chop the garlic.
  • You could use tubed garlic.
  • Heat olive oil in a frying pan over high heat.
  • Saute the squid.
  • When it turns white, add garlic, and stir until fragrant.
  • Add the tomato.
  • When the tomato starts to lose its shape, add soy sauce.
  • Cook while evaporating the liquid in the pan.
  • Add butter, mix together, and it's done.
