Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. chili seasoning mix (French's or McCormick)
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (16 oz.) can pintos (undrained; without pork)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 qt. or 2 large cans tomatoes, pureed
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c. water

Method

  • Cook ground beef, onion and a dash or two of Worcestershire sauce in a skillet until beef is brown.
  • Drain beef on paper towels.
  • Meanwhile, pour tomatoes, pintos and 1 package of seasoning into a large pot and start to cook.
  • Put beef back into skillet and mix with the other package of seasoning and water. Simmer 5 minutes and then add to pot.
  • Mix together well.
  • Cook 30 minutes to 2 hours.
