Ingredients
- 1 (3 lb.) chicken or 3 lb. chicken pieces
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 onion
- 4 (8-inch) flour tortillas, torn into small pieces
Method
- Stew chicken, seasoned with salt, pepper, a stalk of celery, a chopped onion and chopped carrot, if desired.
- Remove chicken, saving broth.
- Debone chicken and stir back into broth.
- Bring to simmering point over low heat.
- Drop tortilla pieces several at a time into broth.
- Simmer for 15 minutes until tortillas are tender.
