Ingredients

  • 1 small head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. instant rice
  • 1 c. tomato soup
  • 1/3 c. white sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 soup can water
  • 1/4 c. catsup
  • salt to taste

Method

  • Chop or shred cabbage.
  • Place in bottom of 9 x 13 pan.
  • Brown hamburger and onion.
  • Add instant rice to hamburger mixture and mix well.
  • Spoon mixture on top of shredded cabbage.
  • Mix soup, water, sugar, catsup and Worcestershire sauce together.
  • Pour soup mixture over hamburger rice mixture.
  • Cover pan with foil.
  • Bake at 375° for 1 hour or until cabbage is tender.
