Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 large green peppers, sliced
  • 1 c. chopped mushrooms (optional)
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 pkg. au jus gravy mix (dry)
  • 2 lb. or more sirloin tips
  • water
  • 4 beef bouillon cubes
  • noodles or rice

Method

  • Place sirloin tips in bottom of pan.
  • Add onion, peppers, mushrooms, stewed tomatoes and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Spread the packages of gravy mix over ingredients to cover.
  • Drop in the beef bouillon cubes.
  • Add water to the point where the beef is covered.
  • Stir all ingredients occasionally as they cook.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
  • Place beef dish over noodles or rice.
