Ingredients
- 1 whole broiler-fryer chicken
- 12 cup butter
- salt and pepper
- 1 (14 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- olive oil
Method
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Rinse and pat the chicken dry.
- Remove the innards if necessary.
- Season the chicken inside and out with salt and pepper to taste.
- Smear the stick of butter all over the inside of the bird.
- Place in a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 1 hour uncovered.
- Remove bird from the pan to let rest and pour all of that yummy goodness into a small pot along with the can of cream of chicken soup.
- Stir to combine and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Serve the gravy over rice or potatoes, we prefer rice with this one, and enjoy!
