Ingredients

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. coconut

Method

  • Make cake mix as directed on box.
  • Set aside.
  • Layer coconut on bottom of greased pan.
  • Cover coconut with pecans and pour cake mixture over this.
  • In large bowl, mix powdered sugar, cream cheese and margarine until smooth.
  • Drop by spoonfuls onto cake batter.
  • Bake at 300° for 1 hour or until cake springs back or until done.
