Ingredients

  • 1 (14.5 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 c. chopped onions
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 oz. American cheese
  • 4 to 5 bell peppers, insides removed

Method

  • Boil peppers in hot water for 5 minutes and remove.
  • Brown beef in large frying pan.
  • Add onion, water, rice and stewed tomatoes.
  • Cook on low for 35 minutes.
  • Add cheese and melt in hamburg mixture.
  • Remove from heat; fill bell peppers with mixture.
  • Bake in 350° oven for 20 minutes.
