Ingredients
- 2 c. Basic Batch Mix
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. chopped maraschino cherries
- 2 Tbsp. cherry juice
Method
- Mix together Basic Batch, cocoa and flour.
- Beat egg with vanilla, cherries and juice.
- Add to dry mixture; blend well. Knead dough slightly with hands to fully mix.
- Drop by tablespoons onto greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 325° for 10 to 12 minutes. Immediately remove from baking sheet.
- Cool before frosting. Yields 2 dozen 2-inch cookies.
