Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. white Karo
  • 1 pkg. cherry Jell-O (any flavor)
  • 1 1/2 c. nuts or coconut
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 2 egg whites

Method

  • Cook sugar, Karo and water to hard ball stage.
  • In mixing bowl, beat egg whites until they fluff up, then gradually add Jell-O, beating until it stands in soft peaks.
  • Gradually add sugar mixture to egg whites and beat until candy loses its gloss and stands in peaks.
  • Add nuts and drop from a teaspoon on wax paper.
