Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups raisins, seedless
  • 4 tablespoons artifical sweetener
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 18 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 1/2 cups oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup nuts chopped
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Method

  • Boil 1 cup water and 2 cups raisins.
  • Cool for 5 minutes.
  • Add 4 tablespoons sweetener, 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon allspice, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 18 teaspoon nutmeg, 2 1/2 cups oatmeal, 1/2 cup chopped nuts, and 1 teaspoon soda.
  • Form into balls and bake on lightly greased cookie sheet for 15 minutes at 325F (160C).
