Ingredients

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 c. cooked pumpkin
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. minced nuts

Method

  • Soak raisins warm water for 5 min, then drain.
  • Cream shortening.
  • Add in pumpkin, egg and vanilla.
  • Beat well.
  • Mix dry ingredients and add in to creamed mix.
  • Mix well.
  • Add in raisins and nuts.
  • Drop on greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 350 degrees for 12 min.
  • Makes 48 cookies.
