Ingredients
- 1 c. sliced onions
- 1 clove crushed garlic
- 1/2 c. shortening or oil
- 1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut into serving pieces
- 2 c. canned tomatoes or stewed tomatoes
- 1 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- pinch each of pepper and paprika
Method
- In large skillet, saute onions and garlic in shortening or oil until golden brown.
- Remove onions.
- Dredge pieces of steak in seasoned flour.
- Saute until well browned.
