Ingredients

  • 2 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 1/4 cup toffee baking bits (optional)

Method

  • Combine apples, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat; cook, stirring occasionally, until apples begin to soften, about 10 minutes. Add pecans and cook 2 minutes more. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  • Scoop ice cream into 4 bowls and top with apple topping. Sprinkle toffee bits over apple topping.
