Ingredients
- 1/2 c. soft butter
- 1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. soda
Method
- Cream butter; add sugar, vanilla and egg; beat until light. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well.
- Chill until firm enough to roll.
- Half dough; roll each half on floured waxed paper into 12 x 9-inches.
- Spread with filling; roll tightly from end.
- Wrap in paper; chill overnight.
- Slice 1/8-inch thick.
- Bake at 375° for approximately 10 minutes.
