Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine or butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. finely chopped dates
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. Rice Krispies
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 can coconut

Method

  • Melt butter in heavy pan.
  • Stir in sugar.
  • Add dates.
  • Stir until mixture leaves the sides of pan.
  • Stir in milk.
  • Add well beaten eggs and salt.
  • Cook 2 minutes and then remove from heat. Add vanilla, 4 cups Rice Krispies and 1 cup nuts.
  • When cool enough to handle, roll out into walnut size balls.
  • Roll into coconut.
  • These freeze well.
