Ingredients
- 1 c. margarine or butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. finely chopped dates
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 c. Rice Krispies
- 1 c. pecans
- 1 can coconut
Method
- Melt butter in heavy pan.
- Stir in sugar.
- Add dates.
- Stir until mixture leaves the sides of pan.
- Stir in milk.
- Add well beaten eggs and salt.
- Cook 2 minutes and then remove from heat. Add vanilla, 4 cups Rice Krispies and 1 cup nuts.
- When cool enough to handle, roll out into walnut size balls.
- Roll into coconut.
- These freeze well.
