Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 (9-inch) pastry shell (unbaked)
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 6 to 8 peaches, halved

Method

  • Mix sugar, flour and nutmeg; cut in margarine with a pastry blender until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle half of the mixture in the pastry shell; arrange peaches, cut side down, over crumb mixture, then add remaining crumbs over peaches.
  • Add water; bake at 450° for 10 minutes and then 30 minutes at 350°.
