Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Chicken breast
  • 1 Plain flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Cornflakes
  • 1 tsp each Soy sauce, mirin
  • 1 Garlic powder (the more the better)
  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 1 dash Salt and pepper

Method

  • First, cut the chicken breast into long, thin pieces.
  • Put the pieces into a plastic bag with the sake, soy sauce, mirin, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  • Let marinade for about 1 hour.
  • Put the cornflakes into a bag and crush with your hands until broken up.
  • Add a little flour at a time into the beaten egg until thick.
  • Take out the chicken and coat with flour.
  • Dip in the beaten egg and press the cornflakes onto the chicken.
  • Deep fry until a deep golden brown at 170C.
  • When it becomes golden brown, turn the heat to high to make it crispy.
  • Lightly season with salt and pepper.
