Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 c. Wheaties Honey Gold cereal
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Heat shortening and chocolate chips in a 3-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in cereal and nuts until well coated.
- Firmly press in ungreased square pan, 9 x 9 x 2-inch.
- Refrigerate about 30 minutes or until firm.
- Cut into about 1 1/2-inch squares. Store in refrigerator.
- Makes 3 dozen snacks.
