Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 tsp. lemon extract

Method

  • Beat butter and cheese at medium speed for approximately 2 minutes.
  • Gradually beat at medium speed 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating just until yellow disappears.
  • Combine flour and soda.
  • Gradually add to creamed mixture.
  • Mix at lowest speed just until blended after each addition.
  • Stir in flavorings. Spoon batter into greased and floured 13-cup Bundt pan.
  • Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
  • Check with toothpick.
  • Cool in pan 10 minutes.
  • Remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
