Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • salt and pepper
  • Accent
  • 1 pt. half and half cream
  • 1/2 lb. crab meat
  • 1 small jar mushrooms
  • Parmesan cheese
  • cracker crumbs
  • paprika

Method

  • Melt butter.
  • Add salt, pepper and Accent.
  • Smooth in flour and cream, stirring constantly until thick and smooth.
  • Drain crab and add to sauce.
  • Add mushrooms.
  • Butter sides and bottom of a casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle with some cheese.
  • Add crab mixture. Top with crumbs, cheese and paprika.
  • Bake 30 minutes at 400°. This may be prepared ahead of time and cooked at the last minute.
