Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1/2 pt. sour cream
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Cream together butter, one cup of the sugar, 2 eggs and vanilla.
  • Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt; add sifted dry ingredients alternately to creamed mixture with sour cream.
  • In a small bowl, mix nuts, brown sugar, 1/4 cup white sugar and cinnamon.
  • Grease tube pan.
  • Alternate batter, then nut mixture, ending with nut mixture on top.
  • Bake 45 minutes.
