Cornstarch-Gelatin Finger Paint - cold water

Method

• In a small pan, add 3/4 cup cold water to cornstarch and stir into a smooth paste.
• Soak gelatin in 1/4 cup cold water.
• Pour 2 cups boiling water into the cornstarch paste, stirring constantly. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil and is clear.
• Remove from heat and stir in the dissolved gelatin.
• Add food coloring or tempera paint for color.
• Texture such as cornmeal, sawdust or coffee grounds may be added as desired.
