Ingredients
- 2 3/4 c. water
- 1 c. cornmeal
- 1 c. cold water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
Method
- Boil water in saucepan.
- Mix other ingredients and add to water.
- Cook until thick, stirring frequently on low heat (about 15 minutes).
- Pour into loaf pan and refrigerate overnight.
- In morning, cut into 1/2-inch slices and fry in butter until browned on both sides.
- Serve with maple syrup for breakfast.
