Ingredients
- 4 ears fresh corn (unhusked)
- 1 c. (2 sticks) butter
- 4 green onions, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dried thyme, crumbled
- 1 bay leaf, crumbled
- 1/2 c. dry white wine
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Method
- Cover corn with cold water in large bowl and soak overnight. Prepare barbecue (low heat).
- Grill corn until cooked, approximately 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt butter in heavy medium saucepan over low heat.
- Add green onions, garlic, salt, thyme and bay leaf and stir for 5 minutes.
- Add wine and lemon juice and cook 2 minutes.
- Transfer sauce to bowl.
- Serves 4.
