Ingredients

  • 1 hen or fryer
  • 1 (9 x 13 x 2-inch) pan corn bread
  • 1/4 lb. crackers
  • 4 eggs, boiled and chopped up
  • 2 c. green onions
  • 2 c. celery
  • 1 c. green bell peppers

Method

  • Boil chicken until tender.
  • After chicken is boiled and tender, take the skin off and debone the chicken; save broth.
  • Mix corn bread and crackers and boil eggs; chop and add to corn bread and crackers.
  • Saute onion, celery and peppers and add to corn bread mixture.
  • Now mix altogether with broth.
  • Add enough water to make juicy.
  • You don't want it dry.
  • Bake at 400° until brown on top.
