Ingredients
- 4 or 5 slices bacon
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 c. shredded cabbage
- 1 c. whole kernel corn (fresh cut or frozen)
Method
- Fry bacon until crisp; remove and drain on paper towel.
- Add water, sugar and salt to bacon drippings.
- Bring to a boil.
- Add cabbage and corn.
- Cover; cook quickly just until tender, about 7 minutes.
- Sprinkle with paprika; garnish with crisp bacon, crumbled.
