Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. shredded cheese
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. catsup
  • 1 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • bacon

Method

  • Combine all ingredients and mix well.
  • Shape into 5 patties. Encircle each patty with bacon strip and secure with toothpick (filet mignon appearance). Place patties on broiler rack and broil 7 inches from source of heat for 6 minutes.
  • Turn over and broil 6 more minutes.
  • I sometimes wrap the bacon around the patty and grill in my George Foreman grill.
