Ingredients
- 8 c. cabbage
- 1/4 c. carrot (1 medium)
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. white vinegar
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Method
- Shred cabbage and carrot into a large bowl.
- Mix sugar, salt, pepper, buttermilk, mayonnaise, vinegar and lemon juice in separate bowl.
- I have found this makes plenty of dressing, you may not want to use all of it.
- Mix the dressing well into the cabbage mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
- Will be even better the next day.
