Ingredients
- 1/4 c. butter, softened
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- almond coconut topping or coconut lemon topping
Method
- Heat oven to 350°.
- Cream butter, shortening and sugar.
- Blend in flour, press evenly in bottom of ungreased baking pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Spread with topping.
- Bake 25 minutes longer or until topping is golden brown.
- Cool slightly, cut into bars.
- Makes 32 cookies.
