Ingredients
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1 1/3 c. coconut, flaked
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 egg yolks
Method
- Combine milk, sugar, egg yolks, margarine and vanilla in a small pan.
- Cook and stir over medium heat until thick about 12 minutes.
- Stir in coconut and pecans.
- Beat until thick enough to spread.
- This is excellent frosting for a German chocolate cake.
