Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. cola drink
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows

Method

  • Sift flour and sugar together.
  • Heat margarine, cocoa and cola; pour over flour mixture.
  • Add buttermilk, soda, eggs, vanilla and salt, blending thoroughly.
  • Add marshmallows.
  • Pour batter into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Batter will be thick and marshmallows will float on top of dough.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  • Pour icing over hot cake.
