- 6 c. bread flour
- 1 3/4 c. quick oats
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. (piled high) dry milk
- 1.92 c. (almost 2 c.) water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 2 Tbsp. yeast
- raisins (as desired)
- nuts (as desired)
- cinnamon (as desired)
- sugar (as desired)
- melted margarine (as desired)
- powdered sugar (as desired)
- milk (as desired)
Method
- Mix together all of measured ingredients and knead for 10 minutes by hand.
- Rest 5 minutes.
- Split dough in half.
- Roll dough out on counter or flat surface to about 1/2-inch thick.
- Brush or pat margarine (melted) over surface of rolled dough.
