Ingredients

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 Tbsp. cold water
  • 1 lb. nuts (pecans or walnuts)
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Method

  • Beat egg white with cold water; beat until foamy.
  • Stir in nuts and mix well until nuts are completely coated.
  • Mix in bowl the brown and white sugars, nutmeg, salt and cinnamon.
  • Pour over nut mixture and stir until nuts are covered.
  • Pour on cookie sheet and bake 1 hour at 250°.
  • Stir 3 or 4 times while baking.
