Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 4 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 c. raw macaroni (elbow, ditalini, etc.)
- 1 can chickpeas, drained
- 8 c. water
- 4 beef bouillon cubes
- 2 cans mixed veggies, drained
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
Method
- Brown beef in Dutch oven. Add onion and garlic.
- Saute 5 minutes.
- Pour off fat.
- Add everything but macaroni. Bring to a boil.
- Cover and simmer 45 minutes.
- Add pasta.
- Cover and cook 15 minutes more. Serve with grated cheese and Italian bread.
