Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 4 sq. (4 oz.) chocolate
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c. black walnuts
  • confectioners sugar

Method

  • Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Melt butter and chocolate squares.
  • Cool slightly.
  • Blend in sugar and one egg at a time and beat one minute.
  • Add walnuts and dry ingredients.
  • Mix well.
  • Chill at least 30 minutes.
  • Shape into balls using 1 teaspoon of dough for each.
  • Roll in sugar.
  • Place on greased baking sheet.
  • Bake at 300° for 18 to 20 minutes.
