Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 2 egg yolks, beaten
- 1/3 c. cocoa
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 baked pie shell
Method
- Mix together the sugar and flour.
- Add milk and cook in double boiler until thick.
- Remove from heat and add egg yolks.
- Mix cocoa with enough boiling water to form paste and add to mixture. Return to heat and cook until thick.
- Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
- Cool and pour into baked crust.
- Top with 2 egg whites (beaten stiff) and brown in oven at 325°.
