Ingredients
- 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1 1/4 c. light cream
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Method
- Combine chocolate and cream in top of double boiler.
- Cook over boiling water, stirring occasionally, until smooth.
- Combine sugar, flour and salt.
- Add enough hot mixture to make a smooth paste.
- Combine paste with hot mixture in double boiler.
- Cook until smooth and slightly thick, about 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Add pecans, butter and vanilla.
- Serve hot or cold.
- Makes 2 cups.
