Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. self-rising flour
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 6 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 c. milk

Method

  • In a large saucepan or iron skillet, mix your flour, cocoa and sugar together.
  • When mixed up, pour some milk (not a lot, just enough to make the mixture into a liquid) into your saucepan or skillet.
  • Taste your mixture and add sugar or cocoa, if needed for your taste preference.
  • Turn your stove to medium temperature. Pour the 4 cups of milk into the mixture.
  • Stir the gravy.
  • The gravy will get thicker the longer it stays on the stove, so if you don't like your gravy too thick, make sure to check ever so often. When done, pour over hot buttered biscuits and enjoy.
