Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 11/16 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 1/16 cups coconut flour
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • salt
  • 5 1/2 tablespoons hazelnuts

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Add the egg yolks to a bowl with the sugar until light and foamy. Add the oil, flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
  • When the batter is smooth and uniform, add the coconut flour, milk, a pinch of salt, and the hazelnuts.
  • Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks and carefully fold them into the batter.
  • Pour the batter into a buttered 24-centimeter cake pan and bake for approximately 40 minutes.
