Ingredients

  • 8 ounces all-purpose flour
  • 5 ounces sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 8 ounces skim milk
  • 2 ounces unsalted, melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 to 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest (or 1 teaspoon lemon juice)
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method

  • Before: preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • 1. Get two bowls.
  • 2. Pour the dry ingredients (salt, chocolate chips, sugar, flour, baking powder) into the bigger bowl.
  • 3. Pour the liquid ingredients (everything else for you slow ones) into the smaller bowl.
  • 4. Stir dry ingredients for 5 minutes
  • 5. Stir liquid ingredients until a yellow-tannish color with no blemishes.
  • 6. Pour the liquid into the dry ingredients
  • 7. Stir until tan.
  • 8. Cook for 18 minutes or until light brown.
  • 9. Enjoy. :)
