Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. softened butter
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar (packed firmly)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. water
  • 2 eggs
  • 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Combine first 3 ingredients; set aside. Combine butter, sugars, vanilla and water; beat until creamy, then add eggs.
  • Add flour mixture; mix well.
  • Stir in chips and nuts.
  • Spread on greased cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes; let cool.
  • Cut in squares.
