Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 6 Tbsp. dry cocoa
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/3 c. Wesson oil plus 2 Tbsp.
  • 1/2 c. nuts, chopped (if desired)

Method

  • Sift all dry ingredients into large bowl.
  • Add eggs, vanilla and Wesson oil.
  • Beat well, either by hand or with mixer.
  • Add nuts.
  • Pour into an oiled 9 x 9-inch pan and bake at 350° for about 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when testing.
  • They should be soft and moist.
